Welcome to Dedicated Architectures Laboratory
The Dedicated Architeture Laboratory – LAD is an integrated laboratory of Department of Computer Systems - DSC, Electrical Engineering and Informatics - CEEI and Federal University of Campina Grande - UFCG..
The Laboratory began the activities in the late ‘90s, currently composed by students of the graduation, master’s degree and doctorate courses in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. The LAD has as Technical Coordinator Dr. Elmar Melcher, professor of Department of Computer Systems at the University Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG) together with teachers Dr. Joseana Fechine Macedo, José Eustaquio Rangel de Faria and Roberto Medeiros.
Since 2003, LAD is the only UFCG’s laboratory linked to federal government program Brazil Intellectual Property, know as Brazil-IP, this program consists of several higher education institutions, including federal, state and private institutes, coordinates the development of projects of digital and analog circuits.
Through this partnership the lab has developed projects of high complexity, including MPEG4 chip is the most complex ever developed by a Brazilian institution - in the Brazil IP Network, and the project Vocal Identity Verification (SPVR) also with a highest level of complexity.
Our mission is to enable students to operate in the production of chips and develop academic research.
